The resin discs are molds taken from the gallery architectural surface (floors, walls, ceilings). The site specific installation Bruit blanc is an attempt to read all the sounds that every surface has absorbed during its history, starting from the idea that sound leaves traces of its interaction with every material by a natural phenomenon of sound erosion. All these sounds draw a picture of the place’s acoustic history: a sound archaeology of the space.

Tetragonizein is an ancient word coined by the Greeks in reference to the quadrature of the circle. Squaring the circle is one of the three classical problems of Greek mathematics, but this is unworkable because of the transcendence of Pi. Through this analogy, the installation presents an emblematic unitary vision of being a priori, in its relation with the pragmatic and empirical essence of the human being; a relationship that, sooner or later, put them facing the concept of monad.
